Pandemic…..what can you do at your home?

Pandemic…..what can you do at your home?

1)      Keep the ill person as warm and hydrated as best you can and with what you have.

2)      Sometimes enemas are used to hydrate someone, a hard to discuss subject these days. As recently as a half-century ago, people could talk about enemas and use them routinely for health care reasons.

3)      Treat the symptoms, usually fever, as best you can and with what you have on hand.  There are many over the counter (OTC) drugs like aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil and Motrin), and acetaminophen (Tylenol) you can use at your home.

4)      Use isolation if need be, and again as best you can.

5)      The intent is to let them and their bodies heal themselves, since there is little else you can do in most cases. Our bodies are pretty amazing.

6)      Of course, seek medical help if available and if you can.  That’s best, but often not available in any hard times kind of situation.

7)      And sometimes the patient dies, so prepare accordingly where you live.
