Flags and the Hemlocks flag pole

Flags and the Hemlocks flag pole

First, I found the flags for the incoming flag pole today. Nothing like getting sick for a long time and having your relatives “make things better”, which is fine with me as long as I can find things. The flags are for the USA, Tennessee, and the Hemlocks. They, and the pole, should handle the probable coming storms this winter, but only time will tell.

Next, I have changed in my old age. So today, I am running them through my local washer and dryer just to “soften them up” to hang from the pole, which is still not here, but should be within a week or so.

Of course, just where to plant the pole depends on how high the underlying rock gets to the surface.  The local flag pole installation people are familiar with this usual problem around here and that they have.  I am counting on it.

All in all, I sure hopes it helps my home defense, like trying to impress the local redneck invaders, should it even come to pass.  I just hate to shoot people even to wound them, though even I can miss now and then.
